With the leaves turning and falling at an ever increasing pace here in Central Texas....I miss the flowers of spring and summer. So to add some color to the home decor I created a paper flower bouquet.
aren't I? Sorry for the long absence from blogland y'all. We relocated over the summer and life has gotten very hectic. It'll take me a little while to catch up.
First I promised pictures of my completed explosion box back in July. They are here:
The new November Challenge is up at Artz De Scrap . We are heading into the holiday season, so it's a bag tag challenge. Here is my interpretation:
Hi, I’m Vickie Flinchum an Oregon City Mixed Media Assemblage Artist, playfully identifying myself as “Da Scrap Addict.” Originally hailing from the Deep South, I spent many years in Kentucky, Florida and Texas before relocating to the Pacific Northwest.
I’m self taught with no formal artistic education. My love of art has followed me from childhood, with learning, exploring and creating being a life-long passion. My fascination with color and texture, and corrosion and weathering is reflected in my work where I often combine vintage baubles, found objects and distressed elements to express my artistic voice. I have over a decade of experience in the Paper Crafting and Scrapbooking industry as a product demonstrator and designer, blogger, design team member, educator and published artist. My works have been featured in Cloth, Paper Scissors Magazine; The Big Book of Scrapbooking Ideas and The Bind-It-All Around the World – Idea Book.
I regularly exhibit at Moonlight Coffeehouse, Boutique & Gallery in Oak Grove and Three Rivers Artists Guild Gallery located in the Singer Hill Cafe in Oregon City.
