Here's a Zutter Project I did that is a tribute to my Mom. I've had a laminated obituary for five years..... never knew how to incorporate it into a layout. Well...I finally figured it out....
Happy Birthday.......Love you and miss you Mom..........

The Bind It All SpringTime Challenge
Today is the first day of Spring and it’s an incredibly warm, blue-sky-gorgeous day here in Southern California. So being all energized and ready for warm weather, we have decided to conduct our first blog challenge! The Zutter Zister designers are bringing out their colorful papers and flowers and are making amazing Springtime projects, so let’s see what you have up your sleeves (I have seen some of their April submissions, and the Gallery is going to be amazing come the first week of April!)
Create a Bind-it-All project of any kind (mini book, décor, altered item, even a layout!) – you just have to use the BIA in some way….the theme is Spring! Use springtime colors, events, or just something that feels "springy" to you. Leave a comment on this blog post with a link to a photo of your project. Your comment should mention how you used the BIA. Nothing too technical, just mention, “used baby blue owire” or something like that. The Zutter Zisters DT will pick their favorite and we will have an April Springtime Challenge Goddess!
But instead of a tiara and scepter, our winner will receive their choice of either the R5 Blue or R10 Pink Round-it-All shipped to their door! Yippee! We will also post the selected project on the blog and gush over it. Lots of bragging opportunities up for grabs here!
Challenge begins today and the last comments posted by April 17 – that’s a Friday. Our DT will huddle and make their selection by 4/24. At that time, we will have another challenge for May! Sound fun? Hope so! Let’s see what you’ve got!
Hope you'll join in and ..... Happy SPRING!

Oh and did I mention I love bugs too? My favorite is a certain Cricut in my scrappy room..tee hee.

Well Whatta Ya Know.....
I ducked into Michael's today to try & replace my paper piercer that I broke while manhandling some acrylic....and I stumbled upon some really coooool Prima stuff. Well, I just HAD to buy some (the twelve step program isn't helping....).
And then, when I got home....I just HAD to scrap. Well....with awesome cuts and rips (yes..ripping) from my Purple Cows 1040 Trimmer, a repurposed Prima package, flowers, brads, Ranger Distress Ink, crackle paint, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and plain old cardboard..came this:
I feel sooooo much better now........

Love Ya Baby Acrylic Mini Album
My totally talented friend, Pam, at Heart Of Texas Studio does awesome albums. You can get a variety of shapes and words in chipboard or acrylic.
I got to play with this "Baby" word bloom album recently. What fun! When I do these types of albums, I always like for the decoration part to be what people see first. All the pictures and journaling are hidden inside! I entered this album in the Clear Albums.com February I Love You Clear Album contest and actually got second place!

Yay Spring!
we're already seeing signs of it around Central Texas! The tree have leaves, flowers are blooming and the butterflies are back!!!
So to celebrate spring I created a wall hanging. I used a 12x12 art canvas, glimmer mist and chips, canvas, embroidery thread, buttons and, of course butterflies. The large butterfly and the sammler ones across the bottom of the canvas are attached with O-wires!
Welcome Spring!!!

My son is in kindergarten and just learning to spell. So to help him I created this "Spell Helper".
We can play games and see how many three letter words he can spell. Plus as his volcabulary increases I can make add on pieces for longer words. And the best part? It's simple to make and you can use what scrap you have lying around to assemble it.
Here's how I made it:
Gather your materials. You will need the following items to complete this project.
Tools:
12 inch Trimmer
Zutter Bind It All
12 inch ruler
Supplies:
1 set Zutter 12x12 Chipboard Covers
One Zutter 12 inch 1 inch diameter and two ¾ inch O-Wires: Black
Heide Swapp Patterned Paper
Bazzill White Cardstock: 7 sheets
Bazzill Black Cardstock: 1 sheet
Maya Road Sheer Alphas: Smoke
adhesive
Before starting, remember: Measure twice, cut once.
Cut one Zutter 12x12 Chipboard cover in half. Cover each side of each half with patterned paper. Punch 22 holes for O-wire on top and bottom of each half.
Cut 78 3x4 inch rectangles from white cardstock. Center these in Bind It All and punch 6 holes for O-wire in each.
Cut one 6x12 inch black cardstock piece. Fold in half and punch 22 holes in half opposite fold.
Assemble Spell Helper with 1 inch O-wire on top with 26 3x4 cardstock pieces starting at one edge, two spaces, 26 additional pieces in the middle, two spaces and 26 pieces ending at other edge. Bind.
Assemble base with chipboard and black cardstock on each side bound with ¾ inch O-wire.
Glue on alphas: a-z on each set of 26 cardstock pieces. Start learning!
