Purple Cows 1060 Trimmer
Purple Cows Free Style Mouse
Purple Cows 1049 Decorative Blade Pack
Scissors

Materials:
Core'dinations card stock
Imaginisce Polar Expressions patterned paper
Glue Arts tape runner
Star paper punch
Floral wire

You can make this Christmas Tree any size you like.

1. Cut a half circle from card stock. Glue two edges together to form a cone.

2. Cut four 3x12 inch strips. Now use the FreeStyle Mouse with the decorative blade of your choice to make partial cuts randomly across each entire strip. Also use scissors to make small cuts across other edge of strips.

3. Glue strips around cone, layering as you move up the cone.
4. Punch out two stars. Cut small length of floral wire. Glue two sides together with floral wire in center. Use this to place star on tree top.

Enjoy your decor!!

Or if you feel like making a layout for easy scrapping of those Christmas pictures this year. Here's an idea using more Imaginisce Polar Expression.

I'm in the holdiay spirit and would like to give away a RAK to one randomly drawn visitor. So please leave me a comment by 12/20 and I'll draw a winner on 12/21!

The Original Zutter Zisters (OZZ) Blog Hop

and giveaway!!!!

Good morning everyone! Today is the Original Zutter Zisters (OZZ) Blog Hop!

First, you might be asking, what is an OZZ? Well, an OZZ is a member of Zutter's FIRST design team that ran from October 2008 to September 2009(hence the name Original Zutter Zister....OZZ).

Some background:
I bought my first Bind It All shortly after it debuted at the 2007 Winter CHA. I was a mini album lover anyway, and the ability to make my own albums was something I couldn't resist. So when Zutter announced a design team call in 2008, I jumped at the chance to submit! I was lucky enough to be chosen...What an honor! But...that was only the beginning.

Soon I was chatting online, laughing and sharing with like minded ladies from around the world. I was amazed (and still am) at the talent around me. Every month as I created projects, I pushed myself to create and think outside the box...er, mini album. Sometimes there is a special chemistry when a group of people get together...that's what us OZZers have. These ladies are more than friends, they are family.....they are (and always will be) my Zisters!!

The Project:
When our initial Design Team (DT) tour was coming to a close, we decided to have a mini album page swap. We each created a double page 8x8 layout to commemorate our DT experience and highlight our favorite projects. On mine I put a picture of myself and journaled about what my experience with the DT was like. I also picked some of my favorite projects by my Zisters to highlight. Here's what I did:

Then, we each assembled our "swap" mini album in an 8x8 Black Cover-All for page protectors. For mine, I wanted a "pink" theme. Something that allowed me to highlight the wonderful Zister logos created by our own Nan Paturzo and Lea Sanders! I covered the entire exterior of my album with ink and embossed it in pink. Then I decorated with Prima flowers and crystals, Bazzill card stock, silver foil, Distress Ink and Copic Markers. Inside, I carried on with theme using vintage sheet music, wallpaper and french newspaper clippings.

Check out the wonderful name tag Nan made for me!!

If you haven't tried the new Zutter page protectors, they are awesome! They are thicker than average page protectors and they allow for thicker pages (like heavily embellished ones). You HAVE to try them. And, they come in removeable pages too! Check them out here!

The Blog Hop and Giveaway:
And......if you leave me a comment on this post between now and Sunday, October 25th, I'll put your name in the drawing for an 8x8 Cover-All and set of page protectors!! In fact, all the OZZers are having a giveaway with the blog hop. So, I encourage you to go visit their blogs too!

Annette West-Saudi Arabia
Emeline Seet-Singapore
Jennifer Priest-California, USA
Jenny Svensson-Sweden
Julie Ann Kelly-Massachusetts, USA
Lea Millora Sanders-Virginia, USA
Nan Paturzo-California, USA (DT Coordinator)
Tish Treadway-North Carolina, USA

And....as if this all wasn't enough, Zutter is giving away one package of pre-punched page protectors FREE with ANY order - no coupon code needed. This is an ongoing promotion! Check that out here

So whatta ya waiting for? Start hopping!!!

Thanks

I wanted to share a card that I made for the upcoming second round of the Torendi Design Team Contest. I don't know if I'll make it to round two (please vote for me here ). So I thought I'd show my card early!!

I used the Torendi October kit to create my card. The only things added were floral wire, floral tape, adhesive, Basic Grey Buttons, the back to the E.A.D. Vinyl and Distress Ink and Stickles. The flowers are hand made...I'll be doing a tutorial on them soon!

Hope you enjoy!

E.A.D. Designs Blog Hop

Howdy y'all! It's that time again! The E.A.D. Designs Blog Hop!!

I'm in the midst of Halloween planning and decorating. So, I HAD to make something along those lines. I created a spooky little tin with a repurposed Prima Flower Tin and the E.A.D. Design Hocu Pocus Vinyl! The vinyl is actually larger than this ...it has Hocus Pocus four times...my tin was smaller so I eliminated one. I cut out the witch's hat and mounted it on card stock and embellished a little. Then applies the Hocus Pocus around the edge of the tin top.

I hope that it makes a great gift for someone!

Now I hope you'll hop on over to the other EAD CT Blogs and check out their creations!

The Get Well Fairy

I wanted to express a special THANK YOU to the get well fairy (my DS came up with this) who cured our infected household in record time.

I was so excited to be well that I created a fairy ATC. I'm in an ATC swap at RedLead Paperworks and needed to make some ATCs anyway. And, I think this little lady will do me just fine!! My DS saw her after I was done and asked me if she was the "get well fairy". I asked him why he thought so....he said "well, she just looks nice". What a cutie he is, so...per my son, she's The Get Well Fairy. I played around with a lot of techniques one this: stamping with gesso, reinker colorwashes, acrylic paint washes, perfect pearls, collage...I'm working on a tutorial, I hope to have it up later this week.

In the mean time......may your households be forever guarded by The Get Well Fairy!

Quarantine!

Yikes....took my DS to the doctor today. He has the flu! I asked the doc if it was swine flu.... he said, "It's "Swine Type Flu"......" lovely and vague.....I hope to be back to creating and posting soon! Y'all stay well!!

E.A.D. Designs Blog Hop!

It's that time again! To show off what you can do with E.A.D. Designs yummy, yummy vinyl. This month, I did something different, I made a card.

I used E.A.D.'s Valentine themed vinyl and Teresa Collins Die Cut Cards & Envelopes. The vinyl originally was the heart with words and symbols in a circle around it. I cut that apart and came up with my card. I also used the vinyl for wording on the inside.

Now I hope you'll hop on over to the other EAD CT Blogs and check out their creations!

The Amazing Cover-All!!!

Cover Alls are one of the best ideas around! If you haven't tried them, you NEED to. If you have, then I'm sure you're nodding you head in agreement.

They are made for pages with out page protectors; in craft or white; with flat, curved or bamboo spines; in sizes 3x4,6x6, 7.5x5 and 8x8. And they are made for pages WITH page protectors; in white or black; with flat, curved or bamboo spines; in sizes 4x6, 8x8 and 12x12! Be sure and check the Bind It All Site for Owire sizes to use with your particular Cover-All.

These are incredibly strong and offer great protection for your precious memories.

I'd like to share an example with you on those wonderful Cover-Alls:

Bind It All 8x8 Album
Featuring Cover-All and Perfect Closure

Ever been involved with a circle journal? It's when a specific group of individuals get together. Each creates an album with a theme, instructions, set number of pages, and envelopes or pouches for information and ephemera. Each person created a two page layout, then sends the journal to the next person. In the end when you get yours back, everyone in your group will have completed a two pages layout and told you a little bit about themselves. It's fun and exposes you to new friends and new creative styles.

Well, I'm in a circle journal and created this album for it. It features a white Cover-All, 8x8 inner pages, rivets as well as Glimmer Mist and stamping.

Gather your materials. You will need the following items to complete this project.

Tools:
Zutter Bind It All
Zutter Wire Cutters
Scor It
Paper Cutter
Scissors
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
1 ¼, 1 Inch Circle Punches

Supplies:
One (1) Zutter 8x8 Cover-All (white)
Two (2) Sets Zutter 8x8 Inner Pages (white) (I used 13 inner pages)
One Zutter 12 inch ¾ inch diameter O-Wire: Baby Blue
Tattered Angels Butterfly Stencil
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Jazz Blue
Copic Marker: B29
Fancy Pants Patterned Paper
Butterfly Stamps: Autumn Leaves, Red Lead PaperWorks, Martha Stewart
ColorBox Ink: Royal Blue
Color Box: Liquid Chalk: Blue
Staz On: Azure
Miscellaneous White Card Stock
Ribbon: Bo Bunny, Generic
E.A.D.Designs Butterfly Vinyl
Prima Flowers, Chipboard Alphas
Queen & Company Chipboard Alphas
Basic Grey Sticker Alphas
Ranger Alcohol Inks: Red Pepper, Stonewash, Pesto, Lettuce, Pearl
Ranger Stickles: Orange, Diamond, Turquoise
Ranger Liquid Pearls: White, Yellow
Creative Memories Journaling Pen
Printer
Medium Miscellaneous Tags
Scrap Acrylic Packaging
Glue, Adhesive Runner

Use Tattered Angels Butterfly Stencil and Glimmer Mist to create butterflies on outside front and back of Cover-All. Set aside to dry.

Punch 14 holes in thirteen (13) Zutter 8x8 inner pages. Center pages to punch first six (6), then add an additional four (4) to each side of the initial six (6). Bind with Owire.

Use printer to print out information, journaling for first page. I printed mine on Fancy Pants Patterned Paper.

Use scrap acrylic packaging. Decorate with alcohol inks. Let dry. Stamp opposite side with buterfly stamps, add EAD vinyl. Cut out to create butterflies. Punch patterned paper buterflies.

Stamp cover with butterfly stamps. Add acrylic butterflies and attach with rivets. Add Alpha stickers and decorate with Stickles. Set aside to dry.

Chalk edges of papers. Cover first page with patterned paper and information/journaling. Embellish with cut outs (from patterned paper), chipobard alphas, flowers and stickles.

Chalk edges of paper. Cover inside of front cover with patterned paper. Cover inside of back cover, over acrylic slip in. Create a pouch using 8 ½ x 11 white card stock. Use Scor It score 1 inch in on long sides of card stock. Then score 5 ½ inches up from bottom on short side. Fold in side and bottom tabs to create pouch. Adhere pouch to inside front cover. Embellish with patterned paper and ribbon.

Create and envelope with the Scor It and the same technique. Stamp butterflies on patterned paper. Embellish with patterned paper, flowers, stickles and journaling. Add eyelet and chipboard alpha as closure.

Cover last page with patterned paper.

Cover first set of double pages with coordinating patterned paper. Use stencil and Glimmer Mist to add butterflies. Add picture of self to long patterned paper strip. Adhere to left side of left page. Embellish with flowers, chipboard alphas, punched butterflies, printed butterfly photos, acrylic butterflies, Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

And there you have it! The incredible, versatile, amazing Cover All! Hope you'll visit The Zutter Zisters for more Cover-All projects from the Design Team and from Zutter Fans around the World.
