E.A.D. Blog Hop!!

Yay!! It's that time again! For the E.A.D. Designs Creative Team to showcase some projects!

For mine, I created a humorous sign for my kids bathroom door. My DS loves to take baths, but does not like to wash up with soap. So I always have to queery before letting him out of the tub: "So can I get you some soap?" Hence the 25 cent baths...soap extra!

To make this project I used an 8x10 Zutter Chipboard Cover. This was covered with Bazzill cardstock and Luxe Designs Patterned Paper (punched with a Martha Stewart border punch). Stencil on some flowers with Ranger Red Pepper Paint Dabbers. Add the E.A.D. Designs Baths Vinyl (in red). Throw in some Ranger Distress Ink and Stickles, string with ribbon to hang and, TA DA!!, you are done!

Now I hope you'll hop on over to the other EAD CT Blogs and check out their creations!

Home Decor

Need a fun and beautiful home décor project? Here's just the thing! Use Zutter Art Canvas Covers with crackle paint, chalks, stencils and die cuts to create a one of a kind “WELCOME” wall hanging....

Gather your materials. You will need the following items to complete this project.

Tools:
Zutter Bind It All
Zutter Wire Cutters
Trimmer
Sizzix and large flower die
Flower Stencils

Supplies:
Four (4) Sets of Zutter 4x4 inch Art Canvas Covers
Two (2) Zutter 12 inch long, ¾ inch diameter Owires: Antique Silver
ClearSnap Color Box Liquid Chalks: Moss Green, Lime Pastel
Ranger Paint Dabber: Red Pepper, Yellow
Ranger Stickles: Christmas Red, Lime Green, Yellow
Ranger Distress Crackle Paint: Peeled Paint
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist: Pearl
Miscellaneous Red Ribbon
Maya Road Chipboard Letters
Adhesive, glue, dimensional tape

Before starting, remember: Measure twice, cut once.

Messily paint middle of seven Art Canvas Covers with crackle paint. Let dry. Cover remaining background showing through with Lime Pastel liquid chalk. Let dry.
Paint chipboard letters with yellow. Let dry. Cover with yellow stickles. Let dry.
Punch out seven large flowers from white card stock. Paint red with paint dabber. Let dry. Outline (don't be neat here, the idea is for a handmade look) flowers with red stickles. Let dry.
Stencil flower designs on canvases. Let dry. Outline (don't be neat here, the idea is for a handmade look) flowers with red stickles. Let dry. Add green stickles and let dry.
Punch top and bottom of each canvas with Bind It All. Bind seven canvases together.
Attach one flower to center of each canvas with dimensional tape. Glue chipboard letters over flower centers.
Add ribbon to top and bottom canvases, threading through punched holes to complete.

A Recycled Project

I've been on a recycling kick lately, so when it came time to do a Zutter project I decided to incorporate the theme. I did album using Zutter's Cover-All, inner pages and the perfect closure.

The inner pages are covered with dictionary pages and the embellishments are recycled or vintage pieces. It was a perfect fit for the circa 1950s and 1960s photos I had.

Another Card

Here's another card I completed recently.....I've been doing a lot of things I don't usually do lately (I wonder....why???). Enjoy!

ATCs

or Artist Trading Cards are a favorite of mine. I'm a RedLead Swap Sister and participate regularly in swaps at RedLead PaperWorks. In fact, I just finished up some holiday ATCs for a swap. I thought I'd share them with you!!

Hope it inspires thoughts of cool weather and family!

Something Different

Well, at least for me....I'm not much of a card person. For some reason, I seem to have a mental block about creating them. But I ran across a couple of articles on swing cards the other day (when I was passing time at the dentist office) in a magazine. I didn't even pay attention to where I saw it, but the idea stuck. So I decided to try one for myself. I love to recycle my product packaging and decided to incorpoarate that into my card to.

Here's what I came up with. If anyone has any swing cards to share, I'd love to see them!! Put a link in the comments!

EAD August Blog Hop

Wow! Can you believe it's August already? Where does the time go? Well, It's EAD Designs Blog Hop time again too!!

I love EAD's glass block vinyl, not because I have any glass block in my house, but beacuase I love the cool 6x6 inch compact designs. There are a bunch, you're sure to find one you like..I always do! And...EAD vinyl is available in a great variety of colors. You aren't just limited to black or whatever color a manufacturer decides to produce...you pick it!

This month I created a 12x12 layout using the glass block vinyl in brown. It goes perfect with the colors in my layout! All I did was put a picture in the middle of the design.

Now I hope you'll hop on over to the other EAD CT Blogs and check out their creations!

Some Moments are Timeless

I feel that way about this antiquity photo of my kids. They look so precious together and it really exemplifies their relationship. I decided I wanted to incorporate that photo into a home decor project. Well, one of my other loves (besides my dear, dear children), is clocks. So, I decided to create one that could showcase this photo.

Here's what I came up with.

It utilizes Zutter 12x12 chipboard, Owires and the Display It All. And, it uses some very yummy Graphic 45 papers. The instructions for creating your own clock can be found here on the Zutter Zisters site. You can check out all the latest projects from the design team and from Zutter fans on the Zutter Zisters site too!!

And, speaking of Zutter fans, Zutter now has a message board!!! Yay! How cool is that? Come visit and chat with us here!!!
